Cool Flooring is a third party administered web store
which we have chosen to place as a link on our website to offer our
customers access to the great values to be found on COOL.
COOL, created in 2002, is administered by WFI
Inc. to provide them as well as their flooring suppliers and distributors
a vehicle to market and liquidate discontinued
first-quality wood flooring as well as cabin
grades. Offered on COOL you will find:
First-Quality Wood Flooring
- Discontinued Items: Species,
formats, grades and/or colors of wood flooring
that have been discontinued for various reasons
but were once standard first quality products
and now become a closeout.
- Non-Standard Length Accumulations: Since many standard product
lines have long average length specifications, some of mills accumulate
an excess of shorter pieces. These shorter pieces may bring down
the average length of some of the lots offered on this site. The
length range and average length is specified on every one of our
lot pages, so you'll know exactly what is offered.
- Non-Standard Width Accumulations: To minimize waste manufacturers
will periodically produce lots to the maximum width a given board
will yield. Many times, this results in widths different than those
in their standard product lines and these widths are offered here.
- Non-Standard Grade Accumulations: Mills accumulate common and character
grades that include the full color, character and grain of pieces
pulled from the more uniform colored standard selections. These
grades are offered here.
Second-Quality Wood Flooring
- Cabin Grade: Flooring with defects
either in finish, milling or in wood quality.
Cabin Grade flooring can be used as-is or
after additional work to remove the defects,
such as re-finishing and/or recoating. Each
lot has details regarding the specific defects
the flooring may have as well as recommendations
on how to remedy said defects.
- Shop Grade: Flooring with defects either in finish,
milling, or wood quality that will require crosscutting before installation;
this will result in a loss in yield. Shop
grade flooring will require additional time to install and will require
either some defecting out or recoating to bring up to usability.
Each lot has details regarding any specific defects the flooring
may have as well as recommendations on how to remedy said defects.
All flooring offered here has been inspected
by COOL’s own quality control staff and is in their possession
prior to being offered on this web site. Unlike
most other liquidators/brokers/dealers, from
COOL Flooring you can buy with confidence! See
our warranty section for details.
